International Conference on Science and Jain Philosophy
- Preparations were going on since past 7/8 months. Originally planned for appx 400 persons..but after appx 800 confirmations, registrations had to be closed appx 6/7 days before the event.
- Choice of 1, 2 or 3 days attendance
- More than 100 papers were presented including several parallel sessions for young researchers
- Delegates from 15 countries
- More than 25 vice chancellors of different universities attended and many institutions were represented
- Scientists, Professors, Doctors, Academicians, Scholars, Lawyers, Accountants, Students, Home Makers, Business Persons, Layman….and so on
- Jains from all sects as well as non jains
- Acharya Nandighoshsuriji and some others from his group recorded full presence on all three days. Plus Suriji presented a paper also. Buddhist Monk attended and presented a paper.
- Highly influential and knowledgeable persons - Central minister, Supreme court and high court (retd) judges, International Court of Justice The Hague, UNO, World Bank, FAO and so on…
- Universities of Oxford, Oklahama, Study Centre Rotterdam, San Hose, Sri Lanka, Munich, North Carolina…I can go on…Kyoto, Guam,
- ISRO, Bhaba Atomic and other top class indian institutions
- Shweta Lodha’s paper Parvarish (of Foetus) was rated as Best paper presented (I guess evaluation was done only for papers presented in Young Researchers side)
- Samani Amalpragyaji’s paper was also recognized as best paper.
- Practical sessions of Preksha Meditations, Mudra etc.
- Chancellor JVBI summed it all up as- Tsunami of Knowledge.
- Many future possibilities….BMIRC (JVBI) and IIT will aim to work together // aim for next conference in Kolkata 2017 in auspicious presence of Pujyapravar.
- Excellent hospitality, logistics, meals, transportation and all other necessary arrangements.
- Concluded with National Anthem
