We are pleased to inform you that ISSJS 2016 will be the biggest international summer program on Jain Studies so far. The summer programs start on June 6th. It will be attended by 91 overseas participants.
We wish to share the benefit of the expertise of two eminent overseas Jain scholars coming to ISJS as faculty members with you, members of our academic and social fraternity. In this regard we are organizing the following two evening talks at India International Centre New Delhi.
Prof Nalini Balbir Univ of Paris, an authority on Jain manuscripts and languages.
She will deliver her talk on Jain encounters and manuscripts in Europe.
Schedule: June 17th Friday 5.30 to 7.30PM. Conference room IIC Annexe.
Prof Christopher Chapple of Loyal Marymount University Los Angeles USA.
He will talk on Jain Yoga and Hindu Yoga, Creative reciprocity.
Schedule: June 28th Tuesday 5.30-7.30PM. Seminar Hall 2 1st floor in New convention centre of IICThe programs will start with a fraternity get together with light snacks and coffee from 5.30-6PM. Please do join us to share their vast knowledge and encourage us at ISJS by your presence.
