Name of the eighth Aṅga of the Dvādaśāṅga Śruta (twelve principal canonical works);

it contains a narration of the biographies of the ten ascetics who eliminated their Karmas and attained the end of their worldly existence; it was their last embodiment in the cycle of transmigration.
