A kind of Dravyānnyoga (ontological exposition);

exposition of the Dravya (substance) with respect to principal and subsidiary attributes.

'appiyāṇappie' tti dravyaṃ hyarpitaṃ - viśeṣitaṃ yathā jīvadravyaṃ, kiṃvidhaṃ? - saṃsārīti, samsāryapi trasarūpaṃ trasarūpamapi pancendriyaṃ tadapi nararūpamityādi, anarpitaṃ - aviśeṣitameva, yathā jīvadravyamiti, tataścārpitaṃ ca tadanarppitaṃ cetyarppitaṃ cetyarppitānarppitaṃ dravyaṃ bhavatīti dravyānuyogaḥ.
