food etc., prepared for giving it as Dāna (offering) to the Nirgranthas (2) (i.e., the Jain ascetics) by indulging in Āraṃbha (violence) and Samāraṃbha (assault etc.).
uddissa kajjai taṃ uddesiyaṃ, sādhunimittaṃ āraṃbho tti vuttaṃ bhavati.
