that Nirgrantha, who blemishes his Uttaraguṇas (subsidiary virtues) or who is possessed of Saṃjvalana Kaṣāya (flaming up passions).
kutsitam uttaragunapratisevayā sanjvalanakasayodayena vā dūsitatvāt śilamastādaśaśīlān- gasahastrabhedam yasya sa kuśīlaḥ.(Bhaga 25.278 Vṛ Pa 320)
- That lax ascetic, who does not rightly adhere to Jñānācāra (conduct qua knowledge) Darśanācāra (conduct qua faith) and Cāritrācāra (conduct qua abstinence) and who obtains his livelihood through bhikṣā (accepting food etc by going to houses for collecting them in conformity with the canonical instruction) obtained by introducing himself, revealing his caste, clan etc..
