Birds- A class of five-sensed subhumans; the winged subhuman beings possessed of five sense-organs and capable of flying in air, such as-birds with skin (carmapakṣī), birds with feathers (romapakṣī), birds having their wings in the shape of a box (samudgapakṣī) and birds with their wings always spread out (vitatapakṣī).
