We are less than three months away from having a wonderful convention in Edison, NJ! This will be a one of a kind, five day convention with exciting, energetic, lively and fun-filled, jubilant activities for youth and adults. On behalf of the Federation of Jain Associations in North America (JAINA), it is our great pleasure to extend to you an invitation to attend the 19th Biennial JAINA Convention to be held in New Jersey Convention & Expo Center, Edison, NJ, USA from Friday, June 30 to Tuesday, July 4, 2017. The theme of 2017JAINA convention is “Jainism and Science”.
 The 2017 JAINA Convention has lots of activities planned for the various groups. We will start the mornings off with Yoga and Mediation sessions from July 1 - 4. These sessions will help rejuvenate your mind and body, and help you stay energized all day! We’ll start the first night off with a bang! The convention team has organized Raas Garba led by award winning playback singer and music director Uday Mazmudar with Rekha Trivedi on the night of June 30. Dress code is traditional attire i.e. Chanya Choli, Sari, Salwar Kameez for ladies and Kurta Pyjama/Dhoti, Sherwani for gentlemen.
 Our Youth Activities (age 14-23) incorporate evening activities, a parallel to the adult cultural program. These activities are for young Jains who are interested in educational, social, charitable and cultural networking with like-minded Jains. They’ll have a chance to catch up with old friends while still meeting lots of new people! The convention team has set up lots of fun events such as an Ahimsa Concert, a DJ Dance and much more! Please register for Convention and Youth Activities to participate.
A special wristband and a special ID will be issued ONLY to those who register for Youth Activities. Entrance to Youth Activities is limited to those who have registered and are wearing “Youth Activities”wrist bands and ID.
 Jain Milan, one of JAINA's more popular programs amongst the youth will be held at the 2017 JAINA convention! This is the perfect event for single of ages 21 to 42 to meet and mingle with people they can have a future with. There are many examples of success stories that happened at Jain Milan events. Jain Milan sessions, in the past, have included ice-breakers, interactive sessions, speed dating, Mixers, Meet & Greet Events, Relationship Workshops, River Cruise and Garba-Raas. Please note that registration for Jain Milan is in addition to the Jaina registration. A special wrist band and a special ID will be issued ONLY to those who register for Jain Milan. Entrance to Jain Milan is limited to those who have registered and are wearing “Jain Milan” wristbands and ID. Those registered for Jain Milan program, 24 years and older will be eligible to attend the YJP sessions at no extra cost. Register only for one of these two programs.
 Young Jain Professionals (YJP) (age 24 to 42) is a place where individuals can meet other professionals that share similar values, providing inspiration for career advice, community service and opportunities to network and develop themselves. YJP ensures to increase awareness through interactive sessions that relate Jain theory to real-world issues. At this year’s convention, the YJP committee has planned a line of exciting programs to help increase your professional and social network.
Please note that registration for YJP is in addition to the Jaina registration. We highly encourage you to register and take part in Jain Milan or Young Jain Professional. A special wrist band and a special ID will be issued ONLY to those who register for it. Entrance to these programs is limited to those who have registered and are wearing these special wristbands and ID.Those registered for YJP will not be eligible to attend the Jain Milan sessions.
Registration fees are at a discounted rate and will increase as time goes by so please sign up quickly to take advantage of low price.
