Noāgamataḥ Dravyanikṣepa

A variety of Dravya Nikṣepa (virtually or metaphorically transferred epithet);

the epithet 'knower' given-to the dead body of a person who used to be the knower of the subject (or the meaning of the word) under consideration; to the body of the person who is a would-be knower of the subject (or the meaning of the word) under consideration; to that substance which symbolically represents the subject (or the meaning of the word) under consideration.

jāṇagasarīraṃ jo jīvo maṃgalapadasthādhikārajāṇao tassa jaṃ sarīraṃ vavagayajīvaṃ, puvvabhāvapaṇṇavaṇaṃ paḍucca, jahā ayaṃ ghayakuṃbhe āsī ayaṃ mahukuṃbhe bhavissati, evaṃ bhaviyasanravibhāsā kāyavvā.
