SAVE PRAKRIT CROWDFUNDING APPEAL
Ancient Jain scriptures were written in Prakrit and SOAS is the only university to offer classes in this ancient Indian language. In the current economic climate, funding is scarce and therefore SOAS Centre of Jain Studies (COJS) is reaching out to all Jains and well-wishers to support the legacy of this ancient language of sacred Jain texts.
This will ensure PRAKRIT remains part of SOAS and its research on Jainism.
We encourage all to support this noble cause of furthering knowledge, no matter how small or large your donation.

Census 2021
The census is a survey that happens every 10 years and gives us a picture of all the people and households in England and Wales. The next census takes place on Sunday 21 March 2021.
Request everyone to complete the Census on Sunday 21 March 2021 or as soon as possible after. When you fill the Census for Q16 - Please choose "Other" and select "Jain"
If 50,000 people select Jain in the census, the Government will prepare a booklet for Government service providers to help them to cater to our needs.

Conference on Jain Philosophy and Consciousness 19 - 22 March 2021
Jain Education and Research Foundation is organising the Second International Conference on Science and Jain Philosophy (ICSJP) to be held on March 19 – 21, 2021. This virtual conference is being organized by the Jain Education and Research Foundation (JERF) and Florida International University (FIU)’s Jain Studies Program.
This interdisciplinary conference provides a platform to connect the science of consciousness and Jain philosophy with an objective to evolve a better human society. The conference agenda features world-renowned researchers in consciousness as well as Jain philosophy.
