Temple Re-opening Update

Hope everyone is in good Saata.
During the last General Body Meeting, we had announced further reopening of our Temple to allow fully vaccinated members to do Puja starting 03-April-21. Since the COVID cases are on the rise, we are reconsidering this decision. We will continue to monitor the situation and take a call accordingly.
According to the data on their COVID tracker, as of 31-March-21, Michigan had 379.2 cases of COVID-19 per every 100,000 people which puts Michigan at top in the country, along with New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.
Our Temple will continue to remain open every morning and evening during the following hours:
Morning hours: 10:00 am to 12:30 pm
Evening hours: 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm
The Bhumati area will also remain open so that members can do the Parikrama around the 24 Bhagwans. In addition, members who wish to sit down and do certain puja will also be able to do so in the marked areas. However, to continue to stay safe, members will not be permitted to touch the Idols as sanitization is still a concern.
Our protocols will also remain the same. With everyone’s safety in mind, members will be required to practice and comply with the State restrictions, CDC guidelines, and the protocols as below:
- Enter through the Entry door and exit through the Exit door to avoid crossing paths
- Sign the waiver form, one per family, for every visit. This waiver form helps in contact tracing.
- Use the shoe rack
- It is MANDATORY to cover your mouth and nose with cloth face cover/ mask while inside the Temple at all times
- Avoid close contact and maintain at least 6 feet distance with others. The social distancing markers are placed around the Prayer Hall.
- No socializing in temple or in parking lot.
- Please limit the number of people inside the prayer hall to 25. You may have to wait outside the prayer hall for others to come out.
- Please limit the time inside the prayer hall to maximum of 15 min so that others are not waiting outside.
- Members are NOT permitted to do Abhishek or touch any Bhagwanji, Arti Thali, Ghantaji, chair or any common pooja material.
- Members are not permitted to cross the taped-out areas.
- Basement, Kitchen remain closed and changing clothes in temple is NOT permitted.
- Monitor your health. If you have any symptoms of COVID-19, please stay home and DONOT come to the Temple.

MJK & Ayambil Oli Update

Our next major events are Mahavir Janm Kalyanak and Ayambil Oli. In consultation with few of you, and as a committee, we are still not in the situation where we can meet in the Temple in person to celebrate. Both of these events will be virtual.
The Religious Committee has been arranging several pujas monthly. Hope you are able to join and take laabh. The details have been shared in the newsletters, including this.
