Net Illiteracy in Active Jains

Internet is flourishing rapidly all over India and it has become the main tool of communication, getting connected worldwide people and getting the latest news.

Jains are the most literate people of India.

But on the other hand there is a net illiteracy among them.

There are about 500 Jain magazines and periodicals published in India.
Only 10-15 of them have an email address.
They have just address and they never use it for communication.
They never use net to get worldwide news of Jains which are easily available on the net.

The big Jain organizations with thousands of members do not have their websites.

Why it is so?

There are many reasons for it.

First thing is that they are unaware of the importance of net and communication by email. So they do not use this medium of communication at all.

Then this medium requires some skill.
Skill of browsing and skill of computer typing.
Unfortunately, this is also a big problem for them.

The Jains, especially the active Jains should try to learn computer and using this medium of communication.
This will help them to communicate faster and to get latest information.
