29.10.2007: Berlin Departure
Adhyatma Sadhana Kendra, Karuna & Swami Dharmananda
Leaving home early in the morning seems to be one of the predicaments of being on the way to India. Like last year, our cat guest watched my departure while he was sitting under the neighbour’s car. It seemed the cat knew that this time only one of us would leave for a longer trip. Nevertheless, I happily arrived in Delhi, all went well, wake-up service, starting to Airport, even transfer in Heathrow, luggage arrived with me, and Swami Dharmananda was there to receive me.

Next morning I waked up because there was a strange shouting in the kendra`s courtyard. When I looked for the reason, I saw one group practising Sankha Prakshalan, a purification procedure of the body from the mouth to the anus.
For this procedure one has to drink about two cups of salt water during half an hour, an then to perform four Asanas supporting the movement of the saltwater to the exit if the intestines. After 5 hours, participants are through and after having a soup go home. This procedure is recommended to be performed two times a year, in autumn and spring.
I did not accept the invitation to join, and after breakfast preferred to start for the program of this Sunday with Swami Dharmanandji.
