Greek: aúra, meaning: breath of air,
Latin: aura, meaning: gleam, ray.

Aura indicates charisma or presentiment.

  • In common speech Aura refers to the emotional impression of a person, a thing, a location.
  • In medical science it designates vegetative, sensory or psychic perceptions.
  • In Arts it is the emanation of a work of art.
  • In Iconography it is nimbus.
  • In spiritual science all living beings are presupposed to be surrounded by aura.
