2001: Ahimsa Yatra of Acharya Mahaprajna

Acharya Mahaprajna started his Ahimsa Yatra at the age of 82 years on 5th December 2001 at Sujangrah, Rajasthan, India.

The main objective of his Ahimsa Yatra is to concentrate the public attention on the message of Ahimsa and the resulting necessity to transform negative emotions. Acharya Shri says that problems like poverty, corruption, injustice, crime, and pollution cannot be solved just by training the basic principles of religion and by creating a social system. These can only be solved by awakening the consciousness for non-violence and providing job oriented training to the people for their smooth livelihood. Living beings exist with mutual support and the society can only function properly with non-violence.
