Bimbisāra (बिम्भिसार) is supposed to be the first king of the northeast Indian kingdom of Magadha during the 5th or 4th century BCE. In Jaina scriptures Bimbisāra is usually named Shrenik (Sanskrit: श्रेणिक śreṇika).
