Swasti Shri Devendrakirti Bhattaraka Swamiji was the Bhattaraka of Humcha until he passed away in 2010. On November 3, 2010 Bhattaraka Dharmakirthi was appointed as his successor.
His Holiness Swasti Shri Devendrakirti Bhattaraka Swamiji, popularly called as Devendrakirthiji, had a huge followership in India and overseas cutting across religions.
- Pontiff of Humcha Jain Matha.
- He became Bhattaraka of Humcha at an young age of 22 years in 1969.
- He represented Jainism and delivered discourses at World Parliament of Religions held at Chicago (1993), Cape Town (1999), Barcelona (2004), Monterrey (2007) and Melbourne (2009).
- Many Jain temples have been constructed under his guidance and leadership in India and abroad. He was also instrumental in the renovation of numerous ancient Jain temples in Karnataka which would have been impossible without His guidance.
- He had an MA degree in Philosophy from Madras University and PhD from Madurai University.
- He directed monthly magazine "Gurudeva" and "Sri Siddhantkeerty Granthmala" and published hundreds of religious books and articles.
- He traveled to many countries and performed panchkalnayak and pratishtha for hundreds of temples, including Siddhachalam, in various cities in North America, Europe, Australia and Asia. Bhattaraka Srimad Devendrakeerthi Bhattaraka Maharaj has supervised 31 pratishthas outside of India.
