Jain logician and considered one of the last intellectual giants to contribute to Jain philosophy.He specialised in Navya-Nyāya and wrote Vrttis (commentaries) on most of the earlier Jain Nyāya works by Samantabhadra, Akalanka, Manikyanandi, Vidyānandi, Prabhācandra and others in the then-prevalent Navya-Nyāya style. Yaśovijaya has to his credit a prolific literary output – more than 100 books in Sanskrit, Prakrit, Gujarati and Rajashtani.
He is also famous for
- Jnanasara (essence of knowledge) and
- Adhayatmasara (essence of spirituality).
