Sanskrit/Hindi: जयन्ती jayantī "anniversary", "jubliee"

In addition to the literal meaning the term is also used as name of persons, such as Shravika Jayanti, who was an illustrious feminine figure of Bhagwan Mahavir's time. She was the daughter of king Saharsanik of Kaushambi and sister of king Shatanik and aunt of king Udayan, a great devotee of Bhagwan Mahavir.
