Udayan Care is an Indian Non-Profit Organization with its head office in New-Delhi. Our vision is to ‘regenerate the lives of the disadvantaged’, particularly children and women and we are committed to sustainable social development. Our theory of change is: "Every child a home and education, every adult the dignity of self reliance and the desire to give back to society."
It was the dream of young Udayan Modi to bring quality and light, through affirmative action, into the dark world of disadvantaged children. His maker recalled Udayan early; even as he began his mission; while still an economics student in the USA. His vision and ambition lives on through the Trust created in his remembrance by his family and friends.
Udayan is a Sanskrit word signifying 'Eternal Sunrise'.
Udayan Care is a registered charitable Trust under the Indian Trust Act registered with Sub Registrar III, in February 1994, working for the last 15 years, for the quality care of disadvantaged children and women, expanding its horizons to reach out to underserved sections of society that need intervention.
Through the power of mentorship, we nurture relationships that transform orphaned children in our long-term foster homes, disadvantaged girls in our education scholarships, underserved youth and adults in our IT & Vocational training centres, and children affected by HIV in our outreach programme. We have served more than 6500 people in 5 cities and advocacy children's rights and protection.
