I had a great pleasure in attending this Birmingham City University Awards Congregation with Sonal Modi organised at Symphony Hall. I was invited with many important, famous and affluent people of the country. I am very glad that I was there not for myself only but to represent entire Jain community. Where ever I go I see myself as an ambassador of Jains and advise that you all feel the same way. This is the best way to spread the Jain message by being a great role model to our children and society at large. I honestly and truly believe that we have lots of talent in our community worldwide and needs channeling in the right direction. On this occasion Mr. Kuldip Singh Wouhra, owner of East End Food plc, UK was given the Honorary Award of Doctor of the University. There are many peoples in our community who could also gain such high profile and thus raise the profile of Jain Faith. Just to mention some of the guest presents in addition to Chancellor and Vice-Chancellor were Sir Adrian Cadbury, The Lord Knights CBE, Sir Graham Meldrum CBE, Dr. Elspeth Insch OBE Head teacher of King Edward’s Girl School, Birmingham, Mr. Paul Sabapathy CBE, Her Majesty’s Lord Lieutenant of the County of West midlands, Lord Mayor of Birmingham - Councilors Michael Wilkes and Lady Mayoress Mrs. V.Wilkes, Ms. Elly Tobin, Principal of Joseph Chamberlain Sixth Form College.
