substantial point of view
describing a thing with respect to its ultimate substance i.e. its persistence or permanence.
Stand Point quâ substance
That intended purpose of the knower, which, by subordinating the paryāyā (mode), apprehends the Dravya (substance); through it, only the aspect of permanence of the substance is taken into account (ignoring the aspect of transitoriness).
