Nagda

Hindi: नागदा nāgadā

is a town in Rajasthan. The ancient site of Nagda in the vicinity of the modern town was once the capital of Mewar but was nearly completely destroyed by Muslim invaders of the Mughal dynasty. Founded during the 6th century CE by Nagaditya of Guhilot the town was once known as Nagahrida or Nagadraha. The place is particularly known for the Sas Bahu Hindu Temple, but among the temples of Nagda there is also an important Jain Temple remained, known as Adbudji Temple.
