2012 Karuna's Mewar Tour
Sadhvi Pramukha and the Sadhvis around her were accommodated in Amet at Tulsi Amrit Vidyapeeth Public Secondary School. For the time of their stay the school was closed. Shri Mohanlal ji Dak had been principal of this school before his retirement.
The evening before Shri Mohanlal ji had told me that Acharya Mahashraman will visit the place where the Sadhvis were accommodated rather early next morning. On Sunday morning Akruti and I started early to Tulsi Amrit Vidyapeeth Public Secondary School. I wondered where Mohanlal ji was. When we came in sight of the school, he was already standing in the entrance from where one had the best view on come and going. He was very much looking forward to Acharya Mahashramans visit to his former school. I understood that he aimed to be the first at the location where Acharya Mahashraman was supposed to arrive soon. When he saw us, he was very satisfied. Family was in time.
Little by little teachers and Mohanlal ji’s successor, the actual principal, arrived. A group of Sadhvis rushed from inside the building to the entrance and bowed down. Very short thereafter Acharya Mahashraman entered the courtyard with some monks. He went to the entry hall of the school and took a seat on the table, provided for him. Mohanlal ji approached him and they talked. Afterwards Mohanlal ji was very happy when I told him that Acharyashree had a rather long dialogue with him. He could hardly believe it. In the moment when it happened he was not aware of the passing of time.
Acharyashree further talked to the actual principal and to some educators. A large group of Sadhvis was lining up to shant Mantras and recite a spiritual poem. After this Acharya Mahashraman made the tour of the whole building. He went into every room, followed by a smaller group of Sadhvis. The saints blessed all rooms with their enlightened presence and again made the tour of the rather extended building with a breathtaking speed. Thereafter all Sadhvis assembled in the courtyard and gave a farewell to their Acharya. They obviously were very happy about his visit, before they departed after Maryada Mahotsav from Amet to all directions Acharya Mahashraman had appointed them to serve. For some of them it was not clear when the next encounter with their spiritual head might take place. Ahead of them lied a long distance to cross to reach their destination.
Mohanlal ji and his successor stayed a little bit longer at the location with the teachers. They exchanged their feelings of happiness, which they potentised by sharing. Observing the impact of the visit on the teachers, I could imagine the same on the students the next day when the school was supposed to re-open.
My way back home was one of those memorable moments in life, seeming endless in their accurate presence. A sunny Sunday morning walk, in a town being about to awake for the activities of the day, shared with people and animals I met. Nevertheless, departure for Udaipur was scheduled about 11:00am. Packing already was done that morning before going to Tulsi Amrit Vidyapeeth Public Secondary School, as fortunately I woke up very early.
Now it was time for breakfast. Muni Jayant Kumar had come to the Dak family’s house for Gochari. All of us handed over an item to him, as per Gochari tradition. He smiled the inimitable smile of a Jain monk, signaling to all watching that life is great and should be celebrated accordingly. We felt blessed to start the day with such uplifting encounters. A true Sunday!
