Aglod Jain Tirth
Aglod Jain Tirth is a place of sashan dev Manibhdra Swami. The ruined old temple in Aglod village was renovated in V.S. 2041 (1984 CE) under the auspices of His Holiness Acharya Shrimed Vijaybhuvansurisvarji and his prime disciples. The idol of Bhagawan Adinatha is installed in the cellar of the original temple. Besides this we can also find the idols of Gautamswami and goddess Padmavati devi which are installed in separate small shrines within the complex of the main temple.
Apart from the main temple mentioned above we can also find a small temple of Manibhadravir. The miraculous headless trunk of Manibahdravir was installed in the year 1733 of the Vikram era. It is said that his Holiness Acharya Shantisomsuriji Maharaj Saheb observed a fast of 121 days at this place in order to make Manibhadravir appear here and for the prosperity of the Jain religion and there by increasing the importance of this tirth.
Manibhadravir, who is rakshak dev of Tapagacha sangh, was a Jain shravak of Ujjain. While leading a sangh to Yatra of Shankhewar, he was faced by robbers and gave his life to save others. There are three main temples dedicated to Manibhadravir, situated in Aglod, Ujjain and Magharwada.
Aglod Jain Tirth temple has Dharmashala and Bhojanshala facilities.
