Jain Temple at Potters Bar

In 2005, Oshwal Association of the U.K (OAUK) completed the building of the first traditional Shikarbandh Jain Derasar (Temple) at Oshwal Centre, Potters Bar. Due to the Derasar, Oshwal Centre is now a focal point for the Jain faith in the UK and a major attraction for Jains and non-Jains not only from the UK, but worldwide.

The temple is built within the landscaped garden and laid in the grounds in the shape of the Jain symbol of Cosmos. In the main hall of the temple, there are statues of Jain Tirthankar Shri Adinath Bhagwan, Shri Parshvanath Bhagwan and Shri Mahavir Swami. The temple is constructed in the Nagar style and the entire work is done by the local artisans.
