Asadha

A small town in the Barmer District of Rajasthan. It is situated on the State Highway which runs between Jodhpur-Barmer. Balotra, the land famous for its fabrics, lies to the north. Some of the nearby towns of Asadha include Tapra, Asotra and Tapan. Jasol, the erstwhile princely state, is located to the north-west of Asadha. The major crops grown here are wheat, bajra, rapeseed and mustard, barley, gram and red chilies. Nakoda Parasvanath festival, held at Balotra, attracts a large number of people from far and near.

Balotra Junction Railway Station and Jodhpur Airport serve Asadha.
