On Sunday, 24th December 2006, Jeevan Vigyan Academy Kolkata had organized a seminar on ‘Dimensions of Personality Development’ to instruct people on the Science of Living (Jeevan Vigyan). The seminar took place at 64, Suburban Park Road under the auspicious presence of Sadhvishree Nirvanshreeji. Utter Howrah Jain Swetamber Sabha (assembly of lay followers at utter Howrah) and utter Howrah Terapanth Mahila Mandal (utter Howrah women’s organization) had hosted the event together with co-organizer Sriram Seva Samiti.
Dr. Sadhvi Yogkshem Prabhaji was the lecturer of the topic. According to her, the majority of training programs for development of personality is only training fragments of the whole personality, whereas Jeevan Vigyan contains a complete four-level training program for the development of personality as a whole. Training of emotions is regarded as important as training of intellect, mind and skillfulness.
In her power point presentation she went deeper into various aspects of managing anger and pride, how to increase working efficiency and memory power with special regard to mental and emotional development. The 70 teachers from 35 schools took the opportunity to take notes on the many important points supporting their working routine in the schools.
Sadhvi Nirvanshreeji reminded in her lecture that Acharya Shri Tulsi & Acharya Shri Mahaprajnaji had filled the ditch of incompleteness with the four-level training program of Jeevan Vigyan in the world of education to build the characters of future generations. They had realized the saying, when man is the creator of the problem, he has to come forward himself to find the solution. Many problems are merged in the actual system of education being focused one-sided on mental development.
Then she also guided some Jeevan Vigyan experiments to proof the efficiency of the training to the audience, which people enjoyed very much.
Sri Vimal Baid and trainer of Jeevan Vigyan, Smt Jyoti Dugar compered the function. Usha Baid gave instructions how to perform the Asanas.
