Difficult is Spiritual Practice

It is very difficult for the powerful to forgive, for the miser to practise charity, for the optimally youthful to be chaste and for the coward to restrain himself.

Unhappy Acon of Time Cycle

In modern times asceticism has decreased and hypocrisy has increased. The load carried by an elephant has been loaded on asses. Being tired the asses have thrown away the load. The same is true of hypocrites during 'unhappy' aeon of time-cycle, which is the fifth one of the present descending half of the cosmic time cycle.

Malice

When one living being kills another living being, they get related to each other by malice. When the latter meets the former in the next life, at once malice is roused.

धन
Wealth

Wealth is not stable. The ruler appropriates it forcibly. Lying at home it is consumed. The thief steals it and sometimes fire destroys it. Misers and contemptible people earn it with great difficulty only to be enjoyed by someone else.

That person is truly pitiable and poor who refuses to practise charity despite being wealthy. His wealth is a burden and is meant only to boost his ego.

Cursed be the wealth which weakens the bond of love among Kinsmen, puts life on the road to degeneration and brings about unthinkable calamities.

Religion

Even the near and dear ones part company in adversity; so do one's earned money, brother, wife and son, but divine religion does not.

नारी
The Woman

A woman is very shy. She uses the veil so that her face and eyes may not be visible. But on the contrary when her son-in-law visits the house, she becomes shameless by singing the songs of hurling abuses.

Dissociation of Karmas

Self-purification and its process both deserve respect.

He who can regain health by taking out the thorn and its splinters achieves spiritual success.

परख
Distinguishing Faculty

A person, with no ability to distinguish precious stones, saw the glass beads of a rosary and thought that they were invaluable gems. In the eyes of a jeweller the same beads are worthless.

Possessions

All the eighteen sinful actions are very bad. Possession or the possessive mentality is much worse. Love and friendship lose their meaning and all good qualities get destroyed when one is seized with that mentality.

पाप
Sin or Vice

No one can make a person sinful. He himself is responsible for his sinful deeds.
