Jain Community has important contribution in Nation Building- Gujarat Governor
Jain Community demands making historic and holy ‘Palitana’ tirth violence free

Eminent Jainacharya and founder of Ahimsa Vishwa Bharti Acharya Dr. Lokesh Muni with a Jain delegation met Gujarat Governor Shri O.P. Kohli and made a demand to make historic and holy ‘Palitana’ tirth violence free by banning use of egg, meat etc in that area. Jain International Trade Organisation (JITO) Surat chapter President Shri Yogesh Jain, Vice President Shri Snehil Bhai Shah, General Secretary Shri Jawahar Lal Dhariwal, Ahimsa Vishwa Bharti Gujarat Branch Patron Dr. Roop Kumar Agarwal, President Shri Prakash Bagrecha, Cordinator Shri Pranav Amin and Shri Subodh Jain were part of the delegation.
Gujarat Governor Shri O.P. Kohli addressing the delegation quoted Ramayana Shloka and said ‘No religion is greater than service of humanity and No sin is greater than harming others’. Appreciating the human welfare works done by Jain Community and Ahimsa Vishwa Bharti in the leadership of Acharya Dr. Lokesh Muni honorable Governor said that Jain Community has great contributions in society and nation building. Responding positively towards the demand of making historic and holy ‘Palitana’ tirth violence free he gave assurance of sending the request made by Jain delegation for consideration to Government of Gujarat.
Acharya Dr. Lokesh Muni told honorable Governor that many Jainacharya, Saints and Nuns are doing Tapasya to make ‘Palitana’ tirth violence free by banning use of egg, meat etc in that area. The government should take immediate action to fulfill this justified demand of Jain Community. He said Jain community is ahead in paying taxes to the government. They always come forward to help and provide relief when nation is faced with natural calamities like famine, flood, storms, sonami, earthquakes etc. Besides this Jain community has constructed many colleges, schools, hospitals for social welfare.
On the occasion Dr. Roop Kumar Agarwal, Shri Prakash Bagrecha, Shri Yogesh Jain, Shri Snehil Bhai Shah expressed their views. Shri Subodh Jain presented vote of thanks. Shri Pranav Amin and Shri Jawahar Lal Dhariwal presented the literature of Ahimsa Vishwa Bharti and JITO to honorable Governor.
