Jai Jinendra,
Join us for Annual Spiritual Family Camp to be held
12th June - 6:00 PM to 14th June, 2015 - 2:00 PM
at Poconos, PA.
The theme of the camp is:
UNDERSTANDING JOY AND SORROW
Based on the book by Acharyashri Mahapragya
With the blessings of Acharyashri Mahashraman, the camp will be led by four distinguished Samanijis from JVB.
In his book Understanding Joy and Sorrow, Acharyashri Mahapragya links the perennial creation of joy and sorrow to one’s own mind. Favorable conditions stimulate joy, whereas unfavorable conditions result in sorrow. The same mind that makes human beings the smartest creatures in the world also engulfs them in futile joy and sorrow. The inability of the mind to differentiate between the body and soul causes one to be a slave to transitory joy and sorrow. However, happiness is beyond Joy and Sorrow - in fact it’s a state beyond the mind.
The 3 day camp will be about learning to free ourselves from the mind game of joy and sorrow. Samanijis will guide the attendees in taking the path of eternal happiness with help of spiritual principles and meditation techniques.
There will be parallel sessions for children conducted by Samanijis and volunteers.
