Intuition-veiling Karma
One of the 4 Ghati karma.

It is a type of karma, the rise of which is responsible for obscuring the quality of intuition (perception of the generic attribute of the substance); unless the soul annihilates it completely, it cannot attain kevaladarśana.

It has nine subtypes

1

 that which veils caksudarśana

intuition through the sense-organ of vision

2

 that which veils acaksudarśana

intuition through the sense-organs other than eyes

3

 that which veils avadhidarśana

intuition of the clairvoyant person

4

 that which veils kevaladarśana

intuition of the omniscient person

5

 pitting normal sleep

nidrā

6

 getting abnormal sleep

nidrā-nidrā

7

 getting sleep even while standing

pracalā

8

getting sleep even while walking i.e., somnambulism

praclā-pracalā

9

indulging in gross violence even during somnambulism

styanarddhinidrā
