Under the auspicioius guidance of Samanijis, Jain Vishwa Bharati, New Jersey announces the launch of Online Classroom, a structured platform to refine the knowledge of Jainism, its philosophy and principles. Jainism 101 will be conducted by Samani Dr. Satya Pragyaji and Samani Dr. Rohini Pragyaji, disciples of Acharyashri Mahashraman.
Samani Satya Pragyaji holds a PhD in Philosophy and is an associate professor at the Jain Vishwa Bharati Institute (JVBI), Ladnun in the department of Nonviolence & Peace. Samani Rohini Pragyaji also holds a PhD in Philosophy and is an assistant professor at JVBI in the same department. Both Samanijis are extremely learned, extensively traveled, and well published. They are great orators and have years of teaching experience.

The course will be conducted online in a self-study mode using audio-video technology for delivery of weekly lectures. Relevant reference materials will also be provided. Participation and understanding will be evaluated via periodic quizzes and assignments.The weekly time commitment will be about 30 mins. Participants will have the chance to meet once a month to interact with resident Samanijis in person to discuss and clarify any doubts.
Jainism101 is designed to be conducted over a year to cover 4 main segments in 4 quarters -
Jeev 101 Ajeev 101 Nav Tattva 101 Shad Dravya 101
Classes begin January 1, 2016
Primary language of instruction - Hindi Suggested donation - $50 per segment The classes are open to interested participants of any age.
Each segment will run for 13 weeks and also include quizzes and end of quarter cumulative assessment. All the four quarters are independent with certificate of completion awarded at end of successful completion of each segment. Students completing all 4 segments will be eligible to receive Jainism101 Course completion certificate.
