तीर्थंकर पार्श्वनाथ पर जारी होगा डाक टिकट

जैन धर्म के 23 वें तीर्थंकर भगवान श्री पार्श्वनाथ के 2900वें जन्मोत्सव और 2800वें निर्वाणोत्सव उत्सव वर्ष के अवसर पर भारत सरकार द्वारा स्मारक डाक टिकट जारी किया जाएगा।
छत्तीसगढ़ राज्य के रायपुर से भाजपा सांसद बृजमोहन अग्रवाल के अनुरोध पर केंद्रीय संचार एवं उत्तर पूर्वी क्षेत्र विकास मंत्री ज्योतिरादित्य सिंधिया ने दिनांक 11 सितंबर 2024 को पत्र के माध्यम से यह जानकारी दी। उल्लेखनीय है कि कि जैन समाज ने कुछ समय पहले केंद्रीय संचार मंत्री ज्योतिरादित्य सिंधिया के समक्ष तीर्थंकर पार्ष्वनाथ पर स्मारक डाक टिकट जारी करने की मांग रखी थी।
श्रमण डॉ पुष्पेंद्र ने बताया कि तीर्थंकर पार्श्वनाथ का जीवन अहिंसा और करुणा का आदर्श माना जाता है। 70 वर्ष पर्यंत सम्पूर्ण भारत में अहिंसा का ध्वज लहराकर प्राणी मात्र को जागृत व प्रबुद्ध किया। अंधविश्वासों, कुरीतियों व कुटील जड़ताओं को समाप्त करके सम्यग्दर्शन के दीप घर-घर में प्रज्वलित करते हुए अहिंसा, सत्य, अस्तेय, अपरिग्रह का मार्ग दिखाया है, उन पर डाक टिकट जारी होना समस्त जैन समाज के लिए हर्ष और गौरव की बात है।
ज्ञातव्य हो कि आगामी 25 दिसम्बर 2024 (पौष कृष्णा दसम) को तीर्थंकर भगवान श्री पार्श्वनाथ का 2900वां जन्म कल्याणक महोत्सव पूरे देश में हर्षोल्लास से मनाया जाएगा ।
उल्लेखनीय है कि सरकार द्वारा जैन धर्म पर पहला डाक टिकट 6 मई 1935 को जारी किया गया था, जिस पर कलकत्ता के शीतलनाथ जैन मंदिर का चित्र अंकित था। यह मंदिर 1868 ई. में बना था और अपनी दीवारों और छत पर दर्पणों और मीनाकारी के कलात्मक काम के लिए प्रसिद्ध है (डाक टिकट-2)। यह 1-114 आना का टिकट, राजा गॉर्ज वी के शासनकाल की रजत जयंती के उपलक्ष्य में जारी किए गए मंदिरों और तीर्थस्थलों के चार टिकटों के सेट का हिस्सा था।

A commemorative postage stamp will be issued by the Government of India on the occasion of the 2900th birth anniversary and 2800th Nirvanotsav celebration year of Bhagwan Sri Parshvanath , the 23rd Tirthankara of Jainism.
On the request of BJP MP Brijmohan Aggarwal from Raipur, Chhattisgarh state, Union Communications and Development of North Eastern Region Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia gave this information through a letter dated 11 September 2024. It is noteworthy that some time ago the Jain community had placed a demand before Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia to issue a commemorative postage stamp on Tirthankar Parshvanath.
Shramana Dr. Pushpendra told that the life of Tirthankar Parshvanath is considered to be the ideal of non-violence and compassion. For 70 years, he raised the flag of non-violence in entire India and awakened and enlightened all living beings . By eliminating superstitions, bad customs and crooked rigidities and lighting the lamp of Samyagdarshan in every house, he showed the path of non-violence, truth, non-stealing and non-possession. The release of a postage stamp on him is a matter of joy and pride for the entire Jain community.
It is to be known that on the upcoming 25th December 2024 (Paush Krishna Dasam), the 2900th birth anniversary of Tirthankar Bhagwan Shri Parshvanath will be celebrated with great joy across the country.
It is noteworthy that the first postage stamp on Jainism was issued by the government on 6 May 1935, which had a picture of Sheetalnath Jain Temple in Calcutta. This temple was built in 1868 AD and is famous for the artistic work of mirrors and enameling on its walls and ceiling (Postage Stamp-2). This 1-114 anna stamp was part of a set of four stamps on temples and pilgrimage sites issued to commemorate the silver jubilee of the reign of King George V.
