We hope all of you, who have been able to attend the JVBNA Paryushan celebrations under the guidance of Samani Sanmati Pragyaji and Samani Jayant Pragyaji so far, are having a spiritually enriching experience. Today is the 3rd day of the celebrations and those who haven't been able to attend the sessions yet - hopefully we will see you tonight and beyond. Here's some important information to help you plan your visit in the upcoming days -
1. Pratikraman - Pakshik Pratikraman today, Thursday, Sep 1, will begin at 7:20 PM (Please note the earlier time and plan to arrive at the JVBNA CPPM by 7:15 PM). Starting tomorrow, please plan to arrive by 7:15 PM as well, so that Pratikraman can start with sunset that will be occurring earlier every day. Samvatsari Pratikraman on Tuesday, Sep 6 will begin at 7 PM.
2. Morning Sessions - Morning sessions are being conducted at the Iselin center everyday starting at 10 AM until tomorrow, Friday, Sep 2. Morning sessions from Sep 3-6 will be conducted at the JVBNA CPPM - 10 AM - 11:30 AM.
3. Paushadh - We are exploring the possibility of conducting Paushadh at the JVBNA CPPM on Samvatsari. Paushadh is a pratyakhyan that entails spending time like a Sadhu in chauvihar upvas. Several duration options are available that were discussed by Samanijis during their pravachan on Tuesday. If you are interested in engaging in Paushadh, please let us know as soon as possible by replying to this email. Please include the desired time duration in your email. Please reach out to Samanijis if you need more information about this activity.
4. Parking - Starting on Friday evening and into the long weekend and Samvatsari on Sep 6, parking is expected to become tight at the JVBNA CPPM. Overflow parking is available at the church parking lot behind our center. The address of the church is - Church of the Sacred Heart - 200 Randolph Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080. There is a thin strip of grass and vegetation separating the church and center parking lots - if possible, please try to refrain from walking over that - instead please use the slightly longer route through Randolph Avenue and Front Street to walk to the center.
5. Traffic - Please expect traffic delays on Oak Tree Road around Sugar Tree Plaza (Apna Bazar area) starting on Saturday, Sep 3 due to Ganesh Chaturthi Mela. Please plan alternate route or allow extra time. There is a labor day parade on Maple Avenue in South Plainfield starting at 10 AM on Monday, Sep 5 - please plan alternate route (through Oak Tree Avenue) for the morning session that day.
