A kind of empirical Avagraha (sensation);
to have a swift cognizance of the object, due to Kṣayopaśama (annihilation-cum-subsidence) (of the related Karma); e.g.- to apprehend swiftly a sound.
prakṛṣṭa śrotrendriyāvaraṇakṣayopaśamādipariṇāmitvāt kṣipraṃ śabdamavagṛhṇāti.
