3.5 Avaya (Perceptual Judgment): Object Construction Stage
It is the third step of perceptual cognition[22]. This is known as the determining cognition. In this stage, there is neither doubt nor analysis. It is as definite as 'It is definitely an x object',. This type of determining cognition is known as perceptual judgment. In speculation, there is the feeling that it must be the sound of a conch, but in perceptual judgment, there is the determining cognition that it is definitely the sound of a conch. This kind of recognition may be accurately referred to as the decision making stage. One kind of decision is a categorisation judgment, as discussed an identification judgment. A second kind of judgment is contextual judgment.
Contextual judgment s are made by using the representation of the input as a cue* to retrieve details of the context. A third kind of judgment is temporal judgment. It is familiarity that you have seen, heard or done something before.[23]
This stage of perceptual judgment is known as stage, of the object construction stage in the field of cognitive psychology.[24] In this stage of the object construction, the pattern representations corresponding to surfaces are combined and compared with memory to construct shape representations. Ultimately, all the representations are combined into a single representation of three-dimensional world filled with three-dimensional objects, which corresponds to the perceptions of the world.
