Jain Monks follow non-attachment to highest level (Mahavratha), they not only detach themselves to household but they will be in the process of detaching the Soul from their Physical body.
Vyavahara(Worldly life): To practice detachment in attachment, try to detach/no addiction (or Minimum use) to external possessions like - Wealth, property, Food (Grain), luxuries, Fashions and Gadgets. This detachment is not to give-up everything in family life but to lead a simple life.
Nischya(Spiritual): one should practice to be emotionally strong and detach from Maya(Illusion), False belief (Mithytava), Anger, Pride, Deceit, Liking (Greed), Disliking(Hate), Laughter, Sorrow, Fear, Disgust, Sexual addiction. This can be achieved by practising Meditation, Yoga, Reading Jain scripts (Swadhaya) and maintaining healthy mind.
By detaching from all these strong emotion, one will become strong from inside and try to feel the true nature of Soul.
Finally read to detach the Soul from the body by Samadi marana (Sallekana).
