Best creation within a human race is a child. Many great thinkers consensually believe that a child's life is like plain paper, whatever is drawn on it will be filled with colours. It is true to some extent, but it must not be forgotten that a child carries the raw material of individual personality. To develop his individual personality many factors play a pivotal role like environment, but the basic raw materials reside within him. Depending on the raw material, only his character gets chiselled.
In the year 1905, New York, the main authority of the Children courts recognized the effect of environment on personalities of children - "The 1st step towards betterment of students is to keep them away from bad environment and poor peer groups. After researching this subject for over 15 years researchers have concluded that imbibing bad traits through environments & peer groups is much more influential than receiving them through genes."
Development in modes of communication has influenced the life of children immensely. They are subjected to information and incidents beyond their age. This sums up as one of the root causes in the rise of crimes committed by children.
Increasing consumerism and better communication mediums have enormously adverse effect on children & teens than anyone else. Advertisements introduce children to the attraction materialistic products while on the other hand scenes depicting violence and crimes on television are driving them towards pessimism. In such circumstances, it is important to transform the mindsets of children.
Transformation through lectures seems farfetched approach for the generations of today. Hence organizing a few specialized workshops during summer vacations might help and become a confident medium for development of morals. Generally, vacations are spent in enjoyment.
