We started our journey in the evening of 9.1.2005 from Berlin via Frankfurt to Delhi. Our Brazilian friend Paulo Soukup coming from Barcelona, Spain, where he lives, had been ready to join us in Berlin. | " I did not feel a cultural shock when in India. This happened when I came back to my home city - surprisingly" |
We arrived at the Adhyatma Sadhana Kendra on 10.1.2005 at about noon. As always - heartily welcomed by Swami Dharmanandji - we felt at home immediately. Since 5 years the Kendra is the place of spiritual refuge to us when coming to or leaving India via Delhi.
This time we detected a lot of construction work all around: Additional floors on top of some buildings to expand the capacity of accommodations as in June Acharya Mahaprajna and his sangh will come to Delhi and the Kendra for chaturmas.
During the 4 days we stayed at the Kendra, using the time for acclimatisation, the weather was fine during the day, but the nights were still pretty cold in January. Thanks to Dharmanandji we had an electric heater in the room to feel comfortable |
Paulo and Aparigraha had caught a virus infection from Spain to start their purification process right from the beginning.
The second day we went by taxi together with Dharmanandji to the city to buy white cloths for the 10 days of the Preksha Meditation Camp waiting for us in Ladnun
We used the occasion to visit Muni Lok Prakash (Lokesh Muni), the terapanth spokesman of non-violence in Delhi, in the Anuvrat Bhavan and talked to him about his new book The Unborn Curse. In his novel he pleads for the right to live for female foeti and describes the joy girls can bring into the life of a family. |
On Thursday, 13.01.2005, Ben and Harshad with their wifes arrived from London. For the next day a car was ordered to bring us to Ladnun. |
We left Delhi in the morning of Friday, 14.01.2004, to be all together in time for the beginning of the 3rd International Preksha Meditation Camp in Ladnun on 15th January . |
