►Everlasting Interest Gives Taste To Life - Acharya Mahaprajna

Jaipur, July 27, 2008

Interest plays a keen role in life, when it is everlasting, instead of being temporary and momentary. To search that everlasting interest hence is important. Everlasting interest continues all the time whether we are sleeping, waking or engaged in any other activity. Being interested in non-violence, love, and brotherhood gives a never diminishing flavour taste to life dipping man in eternal happiness.

These views were expressed by Acharya Mahapragya at Anuvibha:

The major difficulty today is lack of proper training in searching everlasting interest. Some people find joy in hurting and nauseating others. But when they were asked what they get in doing this, they have no answer. Actually most of the problems arise because man doesn’t question himself who am I, from where have I come, why did I come and what am I required for. Today people are too busy and have no time to think on all these aspects of life. They continue to blindly run behind power, status and money.

Sex and money have emerged as the controlling power of man, spirituality is on the backseat. Everyone is unsatisfied and has lots of wishes concerning power and money, not being aware that power and money have never satisfied anybody. Hence we have to find out those elements providing lasting contentment. Motivated for service we are leaving behind status and power. People rather should try to enrich the coming generation with moral values than depositing wealth for them. Focus of life should be perted towards the self so that the flow of consciousness might change which results in the grace of happiness.

Priyanka Nahata, daughter of Shri Noratanmal Nahata of Jaipur presented her article, “Santhara is not suicide but spiritual death” to Acharya Mahapragya, which is published in a Western Law Magazine.
