Samanijis’ Visit At Birmingham

Samani Prasanna Pragya and Rohit Pragya were invited by the Jain Community of Birmingham for three days from 7- 9 November 2008. On   7th and 8th Nov., for adults and children, two separate sessions were conducted by the Samanijis. Among the adults Samaniji spoke on ‘Basics of Jainism’ and ‘Nine Tattvas’ while among the children there were talk on the topics ‘Jain way of life’ and ‘Importance of positive thinking’.

On 9th November a big event ‘The Celebration of Diwali’ was organised at the Jain Ashram. Around 45 people took part in that programme. On that occasion Samaniji was requested to speak on the Jain Festival ‘Mahaveer Nirvan Divas’ (Dipavali). Samaniji spoke on the subject with very simple words and Interesting stories. She inspired all the participants to commemorate the festival Diwali in Jain way. Event was ended with the Jain Arati followed by the Mangal Paath by Samanijis. I

n all the sessions people got opportunity to ask the questions regarding Jain History, Culture and Philosophy which involved all the people in the discussion. During the stay at Birmingham, at the request of Jain families Samanijis visited the houses of Jain followers, which gave a chance to all family members to talk with Samanijis and get advice to make their life better and peaceful. On behalf of the whole community the Secretary of the Jain Ashram Arvinder Jain Paid the gratitude towards Samanijis and requested to come soon for little long stay so that Children, Youngsters and all other people can get more benefit and advance their spiritual knowledge.
