On 30 October 2008, Samanijis were invited by the students of the Jain Society of Kings College University to talk on ‘Importance of Diwali in Jain Perspective’

.

The session was started with the Namaskar Mahamantra, followed by the speech of Samani Prasanna Pragya. Samaniji spoke about the importance of Diwali through the stories related to the Liberation of Bhagavan Mahaveerand emancipation of his chief disciple Gautam Svami. She inspired the youths to celebrate this festival in spiritual way by doing meditation and mantra chanting.

Throwing light on the disadvantage of fire work she made the students aware about the unique principle of Jainism ‘Ahimsa’too. Students asked many questions regarding the some other days, celebrated around the Diwali like New Year, Bhai Bij, Gyan Panchamietc. Samaniji answered all the queries in a lucid way, which satisfied all the students and helped them to enrich their knowledge about Jainism.

A session was ended with the small exercise of Preksha Meditation, which made the students relax. The president of the Jain Society, Harshal Shah paid gratitude towards Samanijis for sharing the knowledge and enlightening the youths. This event was attended by around twenty-five students.
