Presentation Of Jain Prayer At London Inter Faith Centre
On June 24, Samanijis were invited to represent Jainism in the interfaith programme ‘PEACE PRAYER’ organized by the London Interfaith Center. The event was attended by many faiths like Hinduism, Buddhism, Sikkhism, Christianity, Judaism, Jainism etc. All the representatives of various religions were requested to present the prayer of their own faith in original language.
Event was started with the Jain Prayer. Samanijis recited Namaskar Mahamantra, Maxim of forgiveness and Logassa Sutra. Many attendees had the first experience to listen Jain prayer. They appreciated the prayer and shared their feelings happened during the recitation of prayer. It was a great opportunity to expose Jainism.
Samanijis’ Visit To Panjarapor At Hugletts Wood Farm
On June 28, Samanijis were invited by Wenda and Mathieu Shehata to their wood farm to talk on ‘Ahimsa in Jainism’. Event was started with Navkar Mantra. Samani Prasanna Pragya appreciated a great work done by Wenda and Mathieu, who live very simple life. She said that people could see the application of non-violence in their wood farm where they take care of 200 animals and birds. Samaniji discussed Ahimsa in Jainism and introduced a unique Jain concept- Six kinds of living beings. People asked the questions related to Ahimsa and paid gratitude towards Samanijis for satisfying their all queries. Samani Rohit Pragya gave the information about the course of training in non-violence entitles ‘Enrich your life through practice of Non-violence’,which is going to be started at JVB London. Wenda paid thanks to both Samanijis for accepting their invitation and enlightening them.
