Nonviolence is the eternal religion and an inevitable part of our life. One should be taught about it from his childhood in any society. This booklet contains the scientific explanation of the necessity of nonviolence in educational system. Training in nonviolence is not only a necessity, but a reality. Practical and behavioural training along with the training of the mind will help to end the fundamentalism, the materialistic attitude and cruelity of human relations from the society and it will be a basis for moral values of the mankind. This could be a sure success in the path of 'faith and follow' in nonviolence.
Ganadhipati Sri Tulsi, a preceptor and a practitioner monk of nonviolence, briefing his motto of life and its course said that the faith in nonviolence is unshakable and the world of mankind should embrace this implicitly. Having his heart been filled with the desire for world peace, Sri Tulsi, explicated Anuvrat saying that it is an unique effort and movement to build a nonviolent society.
The foundation of nonviolence training needs to explore the causes and origin of violence and to seed the plant of nonviolence. Acharya Mahaprajna, a Jaina preceptor, prescribes the application of Jaina yoga as an important formula for the development of mind towards nonviolence and describes the antidotes for human vices leading to violent action. Anekanta (non-absolutism), a novel contribution of Jaina philosophy has a necessary role (of application) in nonviolence. It tends to the ideas of relativity and coexistence which create an awareness of reconciliation, a positive aspect of nonviolence and conflict-free society. It is hightime to make efforts to change the heart, the attitude, the life style and the social systems in order to realize a nonviolent society and to ensure the existence of human race.
The benedictory address by Sri Tulsi at the initiation of the International Training Camp in Nonviolence is also included. The appendix consists of both the declarations of First and Secont International Conference on Peace and Nonviolent Action.
This work is the result of the vision of Gurudev Tulsi and the inspiration of Acharya Shree Mahaprajna, Mahasramana Muditji, Muni Shree Dulharajji and Muni Shree Mahendia Kumarji. Sri Girija Prasad Mahapatra of Anekanta Sodh Peeth, J.V.B. assisted to get this work in a book-form. This could be helpful and useful for the readers who love peace.
