Sound Of Silence

My style of writing has been governed by the rules of brevity. Poetry has always sought brevity. To say a lot in few words is the essence of poetry. If all that has to be said is expressed, it cannot be poetry. All that has to be said does not find expression, even that cannot be poetry.

The word play between saying it all and not saying anything is poetry.

That word play which creates sensations in the brain, stimulates it with the suggestion of getting to the ultimate meaning of the word and keeps its rasa (sap) safe within, is poetry.

I am not dedicated to poetry and so I do not think of doing justice to poetics. And yet as and when the inspiration comes, a poem is born. Acharya Tulsi encouraged me, inspired me to walk this road. I define success as the experience of that inspiration. This success is very valuable to me. How valuable it is for others, I do not know.
