Acharya Chandanaji Maharaj is celebrating her 75th Birthday this year. Those who have met her will know that she is a remarkable woman of tremendous wisdom, courage and foresight who has shown a new path in Jainism which advocates active seva (service to mankind) as a path to sadhna (spiritual development). She is also the first woman to be given the title of Acharya.
Acharyaja Chandanaji Maharaj and Sadhvi Shilapiji Maharaj will be in London later this month and to show our appreciation for the relentless and dedicated work that Acharyaji has done all her life and continues to do for those who are in real need and always with compassion and without reference to class or creed, Veerayatan UK has organised a unique movie presentation of her life.
The film show will take place on the evening of 26th, April 2011 with doors opening at 7.00pm for a prompt start at 8.00pm. The venue is central near Kingsbury.
As dedicated supporters of Veerayatan UK and Shri Chandana Vidyapeeth Jain School, we would be delighted if you were able to attend this unique event. As well as seeing the inspirational film, you will be able to meet Acharyaji.
Entrance to this event will require an invitation and we have reserved a number of tickets for members of the Veerayatan/SCVP database. As tickets are limited, if you would like to attend please email with details of your name and address and how many adults will be coming and we will allocate tickets on a first come, first served basis.
Please do make every effort to try and come to what will be a unique event.
