Muni Dharmesh Kumar opposed Anupreksha to Preksha Meditation, the first being a concentration of perception, whereas Anupreksha is a concentration of thought.
In Anupreksha autosuggestion and contemplation are applied for change of personality.
Anupreksha consists of four components as a result of introspection:
- Concentration on the wanted aim
- Verbalisation thereof (e.g. I want to acquire the power of tolerance)
- Recitation thereof in a loud voice
- Recitation thereof in the mind
When practised continuously for about six weeks, the aimed transformation is possible.
The session was concluded after practising Anupreksha together.
