Blessings

Stories glorifying the Jainism abound and if one mounts a quest of such stories, one would discover quite a few gems. The present volume is an attempt in the direction.

The volume comprises life stories of Sadhus, Sadhvis, Shravaks and Shravikas, the four pillars of Jain religion. They have been delineated in as authentic a manner as possible and in a very gripping style. They highlight the contribution of the great, heroic figures of Jain religion. The pen of Dr. Kumarpal Desai and the illustrations of artist Shri Ashok Shaha (Padmaputra) have combined to enhance the value of the volume.

The volume will serve its purpose if the readers derive inspiration from those whose lives and deeds have been recorded here and with true devotion pursue the path carved out by them. It is hoped that the readers will try to emulate the qualities personified by these figures and be worthy of Jinshasan. Shri Kushalchandravijayji provided the impetus for the Samavasaran and for the beautiful illustrations.

The pictures in the volume are on view in Samavasaran temple in Shatrunjaya tirth and the devotees visiting it can have a glimpse of these great characters.
