Received his PhD from The University of Tokyo in 2012 for his dissertation Ethics and Posaha of Jain Laity: Mainly Based on Śrāvakācāra Texts. He is currently project researcher at the Center of Death and Life Studies and Practical Ethics (DALSPE) at The University of Tokyo, Japan. His current research focus is the code of conduct for lay Jains.
